Our 2022-2023 Board Members

Jessica M. Wan, President

Jessica is the 2020-2023 President of VCAABA. She concentrates her legal practice on litigating intellectual property, commercial, and employment matters and also counsels clients on intellectual property strategies. Outside of the office, you can find Jessica running, traveling, or searching for new foods and restaurants to try.


Kristine Tijam, Vice President

Kristine is the 2020-2013 Vice President of VCAABA. She specializes in the defense of complex public entity litigation, insurance litigation, and other civil litigation matters, representing clients in courts throughout Southern California. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting, cooking, and making desserts.


Dien Le

Dien Le is the Founder, past President (2006/2007) and Board Member of VCAABA. He specializes in elder abuse, probate and trust litigation with The Alvarez Firm, which has offices throughout Southern California. In his spare time, Dien enjoys running, hiking, tennis, traveling and foodie adventures. 


Reema Kapoor

Reema is the 2020-2023 Treasurer and Secretary of VCAABA. She specializes in mergers and acquisitions, financings, corporate governance and general business law across a wide range of industries and sectors. In her free time, she enjoys cooking with her daughters, reading and traveling.


Mark M. Fang

Mark Fang is a past President (2008) and a Board Member of VCAABA. He specializes in business and employment law, and has offices in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. In his spare time (during the pandemic,) Mark enjoys golfing and tinkering with vintage cars.


William G. Short

William G. Short is in private civil law practice. He has been an Instructor in attorney seminars on advanced commercial collection techniques, and Court-appointed arbitrator and mediator in Ventura and San Mateo Counties. He has been awarded "AV Preeminent" rating by Martindale-Hubbell since 2012, a rating defined as: "a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence." Prior to his private practice, he served as Counsel, United States Senate, Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Courts Washington, D.C.
